Our Story

Lisa created Blue Bottle Body Care to offer amazing natural body care products to the world while also raising funds to support organizations that help young adults diagnosed with breast cancer. 

Our body care products are infused with positivity and made in small batches in California with organic and natural ingredients and no synthetic fragrances or artificial colors. Ingredients are ethically and sustainably sourced and cruelty-free. All products are available fragrance-free as well as customized with essential and natural oil scents.

Why the blue bottle? The dark color protects the natural ingredients and essential oils in our formulas from sunlight so that they stay fresh longer. Plus, we love the color blue....

Blue Bottle Body Care’s logo of the dragonfly symbolizes happiness, new beginnings, and change.  We hope that the proceeds from the sale of each product helps bring that positivity to others in need.

Our mission is to spread happiness and health around the world by offering our amazing body care products made with natural and organic ingredients, smell amazing (or unscented, if you prefer), produced in small batches in California and not tested on animals. We give back to our communities as a donation through a portion of each sale to organizations who support young adults diagnosed with breast cancer.

Meet Lisa Silverman, Blue Bottle Body Care Founder

Lisa has been making her own body care products for years, blending essential oils and experimenting with various ingredients and plants.

Her experience became invaluable when she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 30 and she used her knowledge of aromatherapy to guide her when she was feeling nauseous, anxious, or needed a mood-boost during her cancer treatments. She continues to this day, 26 years later, using natural and organic body care.
